Yquem Y a very bright pale yellow dress. The first nose is infused and accompanied by notes of thyme. The second nose, fruity, is illustrated with notes of PEAR, grapefruit, pineapple. Then a third nose appears to aeration: more floral notes, but also notes of plum give much elegance to the whole. Printing olfactory General perfectly evokes the character typed there in the classic vintages (2000-2005-2006). In the mouth the attack is rather live: there is a beautiful acidity in the wine with a high roundness giving a gourmet taste sensation, a high persistence. This "Y" of character will be a vintage of long guard.
Beautiful aromas of white peaches, crushed rocks, candle wax, and lemon rind along with a touch of quince emerge from this medium-bodied, crisp, flavorful effort. Excellent acidity as well as a long finish suggest it will drink well for 10-15+ years. Wine Advocate. April, 2008
Day bright, pale yellow in color and low viscosity. Very aromatic, with fresh-cut roses, mango and pear notes. Off-dry with low acidity, and medium body and alcohol. Confirmed aromas on the palate. Also reminded me of a mandarin orange marshmallow fruit salad, along with mild smoky and oily notes. Smooth, medium length finish.
Sparkling pale yellow colour with golden highlights. A complex nose combining flowers (broom), grapefruit with mineral flavours (flint). A lively, fresh attack with a confirmation of tropical fruit. Good lasting flavour
The guava juice, dried apricot, mango, candied lemon and spices form a concert of aromas ad libitum. The first taste is upright, dynamic and develops on a mid-palate as complicated as the nose. The wine has a long finish, and is tightly-knit and very aery at the same time. The close on white pepper and ginger finish to sign this Sauternes full of grace. This wine is great for aging!
