Loads of crushed berries on the nose, with hints of flowers and minerals. Very aromatic. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long, cappuccino and berry aftertaste. Really refined. Best after 2009." Wine Spectato
Bonnezeaux wines rank amongst the most respected sweet wines of the Loire – and even all of France. They are made exclusively from Chenin Blanc (known here as Pineau de la Loire) and harvested in tries successives. In the bouquet a lot of apricots, honey and botrytis. On the palate orange, caramel, coffee, nougat, a lot of concentrated sweetness, but also beautiful fresh acidity. Beautiful and harmonious wine. Ready now and the next few years.
Nose of red fruits is paired with some dusty notes of an Old World style. With hints of spice and redcurrant, there is no evident oak and gentle savoury edges. The palate is still tightly structured, with almost tart red fruits. Plenty of grippy tannins means it will go for the long haul in the cellar.
Deep dark red. Spices and mature red fruits. Round tannins with powerful complexity. A rich unctuous wine with notes of mature plums, hazelnuts and red fruits. Very rich wine full of harmony and balance.
Perfumed, quite elegant compared to the pommard but with some funkiness. White pepper spice here for me as well. In the mouth there is spiced red berries with medium plus intensity acid. Nice but short.
Bordeaux Pauillac wines are rich and concentrated, full-bodied reds with grippy tannins, and characteristic notes of cassis, cedar and cigar box spice. The best examples come from blends with a base of high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon and are often considered the quintessential example of a Bordeaux wine.Pauillac, in Bordeaux's Left Bank Médoc region, boasts well-draining gravel soils, which in turn translates to higher quality wines; and those from Pauillac age extremely well. Three of the five first-growths from the 1855 classification of the Médoc are situated in Pauillac: Lafite, Latour, and Mouton-Rothschild.
A ripe, fresh style, with a juicy core of blackberry and raspberry fruit backed by ample mocha, licorice snap and incense hints. There's solid grip on the mineral-tinged finish.
